Waveburner quits repeatedly

Waveburner 1.1.2 quits within 20 seconds of adding any effect to an audio file. every restart of app produces same result. Downloaded latest version. During install my mac tells me I don't need the update. OS version a problem? Logic Pro 7 version a problem?

G5 Dual 2 GHz, Mac OS X (10.4.11)
